UPDATE on BOWLING and BAR
We hope you are all well during this difficult time.
Further to our last communication, the committee have taken the following decisions as to how to move the club forward after some relaxation in the COVID situation.
New bowling sessions. Please note these start from Friday 31st July and so the first booking time will be Wednesday evening this week
We will be running a mixed pairs ‘HATS’ session on a Monday afternoon from 2.00pm to 3.30pm.
In addition to these there will be the following sessions
Tuesday 10.00am, 11.30am, 2.00 pm, 3.30pm and 6.30pm
Wednesday 6.30pm – 8.30pm
Thursday No bowling
Friday 6.30pm -8.30pm
Saturday 2.00pm – 4.00pm
Sunday 10.00 am, 11.30am, 2.00pm, 3.30pm, 6.30pm
The rules relating to how we play on the green will be in line with the Bowls Scotland rules and as such agreed with the Scottish Government.
Bookings HAVE to be made in advance at the normal booking times – Monday and Friday 10am to 12.00pm. In addition, Wednesday 7pm-8pm on the ‘Booking Line’ (Robert Richmond) on 07599 002829. This is a requirement for track and trace.
These times MUST be adhered to DO NOT telephone outwith these booking times
The hats have to be booked by the previous Friday. The draw will be have to made by Robert in advance for the hats. No late requests on the Monday of the session will be accepted.
The numbers are limited to 24 on each green
Anyone who has not got their bowls, will be able to access them on each Monday. Remember the club is locked at all other time unless the bar is open, so if you need them for sessions other than the Monday ‘HATS’ they will have to be taken away.
The bar will now be open at the following times
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday 2.00pm – 11.00pm
Wednesday 6.30pm -11.00pm
No crisp, nuts etc. will be on sale and it is preferred that a card is used for payment to avoid the need for cash. You will also be required to sign in any guests. Your new membership card should be used at the bar. This will also register you as being in the club. No alcoholic drink is to be taken outside and the bar staff have the full support of the committee to advise and enforce on the current guidelines. The TV unfortunately cannot be on, and we cannot play table top games.
The clubhouse will not be as you remember it and new club rules must be adhered to. A one way system will be in operation within the club and ALL notices HAVE to be adhered to. This includes the use of the toilets, smoking area, locker rooms and entering/leaving the club
Any breach of the rules will be putting the health of our members at risk and will be dealt with by the Management Committee. As a last resort this may result in the club having to be closed again.
We hope this helps those members with the expanded bowling times but please bear in mind that you have to pre-book with Robert before bowling
If you know of anyone who is not on e-mail, please let them know about this e-mail.
